When does making a list change your life?
What if you could master manifesting abundance easily and feel as if you are being guided as if you were in a wonderful treasure hunt? Would you be willing to clear away old concepts about manifesting wealth and abundance so you would be free and open to new opportunities?
Manifesting abundance means creating more than enough wealth, not just enough or close to enough.
What is stopping you? Perhaps you believe that there is a limited money supply. Maybe you think the rich have all the money and there is none for you.
The truth is that there is an unlimited supply of money. It flows around the world at record speeds. The truth is that there is an unlimited supply of money. It flows around the world at record speeds. More money is circulated when someone makes something to sell, provides a service, or takes out a loan.
You may manifest abundance directly without needing to pay money.
And it is interesting to note that there is so much that can be added to your life without paying for it. The companies paid for all my travels in my jobs or when teaching internationally. I didn’t have the physical money to enjoy traveling, but it became part of my life.
Unfortunately, most people are not taught how to manifest as they grow up. We are told to work hard and don’t expect to get rich. However, manifesting abundance means you have plentiful food, a place to call home, friends, health, love, and creative self-expression. Most people enjoy abundance and are willing to work hard to receive it.
Sometimes even our best efforts don’t work. Many people still don’t manifest more than enough of what they need. They barely have enough, and often not enough to live a healthy, happy life.
What if changing your mind would shift your ability to manifest abundance?

“That would be wonderful!” you might say, or “That’s impossible!” might be another answer. How could changing your mind change your ability to do anything?
The first time I heard about this possibility of manifesting was long before the concept of the Law of Attraction became popular.
It was on a Sunday afternoon in Los Angeles near the Miracle Mile on Wilshire Blvd. I was twenty-two years old and attending Patricia Stevens Career College, studying fashion design. I was riding in a rickety elevator in the apartment building where I had a small studio apartment.
I met a man in an elevator who changed my life
On a Sunday afternoon, I met a man in an elevator who noticed I was sad. (It’s true I was sad. An older friend was in the hospital due to a heart attack.)
“I was feeling like you a year ago,” the man said out of the blue. “I had lost everything and was living like a bum.”
I looked at him briefly and then stared back at the floor.
He continued, “I was sitting on a bench when a stranger came and sat next to me. He asked me about my story, and when I finished, the stranger told me, “Make a list of what you want and the date by which you want it to manifest. I thought it was strange, but after that, I made my list, and everything happened. Each item on the list manifested before the time I had written.”
“That’s nice,” I said while thinking he was crazy.
“You don’t understand,” he said.
“You don’t understand how incredible making the list is!” he answered as he stopped the elevator and pushed the button to go down. “I’m going to show you,” ” (It was an old elevator. You usually can’t stop and make an elevator reverse its movement in modern elevators.)
I was surprised at his behavior as we reached the main floor. But he seemed so authentic that I followed him to the front door. “The first thing on my list was a new, white Thunderbird convertible!” he exclaimed.
There it was, parked in front of the building, a beautiful, white Thunderbird convertible, looking sharp and sparkling in the sun.
“Hop in. I want to show you the building that was the second item on my list.”
Should I be afraid?
For some reason, I wasn’t afraid. Maybe it was because I could jump out of the open convertible. It could be that I felt his positive energy. Perhaps, it was because life was not so dangerous 56 years ago (1966). Regardless, I got in the car, and he drove the two blocks to Wilshire Blvd., turned west a couple of blocks, and stopped in front of an office building.
“I now own this building,” he announced proudly as he opened the door with a key. (I thought to myself that maybe he was the janitor. That was why he had a key.)
“And I have almost rented all the offices,” he continued. “I have only one left to rent! And I have put down a deposit on a penthouse apartment in that building over there,” he said as he pointed to a tall building across Wilshire Blvd.
I didn’t know what to believe.
His story was hard to believe. He sounded crazy, but there seemed to be proof of what he was saying. I rode quietly in the elevator when we returned to the apartment building. I hurried to my apartment and locked the door. A few minutes later, I heard a loud knock on the door. “What does he want now?” I asked out loud.
He stood in the doorway and handed me a book, As A Man Thinketh…by James Allen. The last thing he said as he walked away was, “Make your list!”

I read the book As A Man Thinketh by James Allen and made my list.
I treated the writing of my list a little like a joke. I wrote what I considered crazy things on the paper. The month was March, and here is the list:
► I will be modeling by April 15, 1966 (I had never modeled or even thought about doing so.)
► I will be on TV by May 15, 1966 (I didn’t even own a TV.)
► I will be living at the beach in an apartment I can afford by July 1, 1966 (Basically impossible.)
► I will drive an XKE Jaguar on my birthday, December 9, 1966. (Totally impossible.)
Believe it or not, each request happened on time. How can this be? You might ask.
I have learned that what we think about makes a huge difference in our lives. When you write down what you would prefer in health, wealth/abundance, loving relationships, and/or self-expression, you form your desires in a two-dimensional reality. The next step is easier as it manifests into the third dimension…your reality.
The list is like a treasure hunt
I have learned that The List begins like a treasure hunt to manifest what you want. You normally get intuitive guidance from a feeling, a voice, or a vision that leads you forward. And sometimes, you receive a call or meet someone who provides the opportunity you have written on the list. I will try to summarize how each item happened clearly and briefly.
► I will be modeling by April 15, 1966
Sitting in a hotel cocktail lounge, I overheard people at the next table talking about tryouts for a play based on the book, The Fountainhead by Ayn Rand. That book had quite an impact on me in college. I asked the people discussing the play where the tryouts were being held. They replied, “At Capitol Records in Hollywood.”

Off I went to Capitol Records
I strongly felt that I should contact someone at Capitol Records, so I called and asked about trying out for the play. The woman on the phone asked which part I wanted to play. I replied, “The lead, of course.” (There were no other female parts in the book.)
She said, “You sound quite young for the part.”
I responded, “Oh, I look old.”
They set a date and time, and I bought a long wig to wear and tied it back. I hoped it made me look older since I had just cut my hair short like Twiggy. When the interview started, the woman asked me, “Why do you want to be an actress?”
I replied without thinking, “Well, I don’t want to be an actress. I want to be a writer.”
“Oh, you want to be a writer.”
She got up and asked me to wait a few minutes. A man came in and started talking to me about writing and said, “How would you like to be an assistant editor for our magazine, Keynotes?” My mouth flew open, and I exclaimed, “I would love it!”
So I left the fashion design school and was now totally excited about working at the round building of Capitol Records in Hollywood. I could see that I manifested one of the desires of my heart.
I became friends with the magazine’s art director, Marianne, a lovely woman from Holland. One day she asked me if I would like to model for Keynotes magazine. And so, I was modeling there as I sat on a cushioned record player (This was 1966). I hadn’t asked for the cover of Vogue. But I was modeling.

► I will be on TV by May 15, 1966
This one was truly bizarre. I received a phone call from a fellow I had dated. He asked, “Would you like to be on a TV show?”
“Uh, yes,” I answered in shock.
“Well, it’s a computer dating show where they give you a questionnaire, and the computer matches you with another contestant.” This was twenty years before we had personal computers. So the concept was pretty outrageous.
He continued, “They don’t pay you, but you will be treated to dinner at the Magic Castle.” I had always wanted to go to the Magic Castle, where magicians presented their shows.
So, I saw myself on TV, biting my lower lip. The match was not correct, but the dinner and show were super.
► I will be living at the beach in an apartment I can afford by July 1, 1966
Now, I believed that I could manifest abundance in terms of amazing experiences. I called my Mom and asked if she would like to go for a ride because I was going to look for an apartment. She asked, “Are you going to look in the newspaper?”
I said, “No, I am just going to drive north from Newport Beach and manifest the right place.”
She said her normal statement to me, “You are super strange.”
We drove north along the coast and into Belmont Shores, south of Long Beach. I had never been there before. I went over a bridge crossing a small bay and had a strong feeling to turn left at the next street where the houses all faced the bay.

I went a half-block and saw a sign, “Studio Apartment for Rent.” I knocked on the door, looked at the darling, furnished studio apartment with a separate kitchen at the back of the house, and rented it immediately. There was a yard with a large tree, and we had some great parties with bands from Capitol Records.
► I Will Be Driving an XKE Jaguar on my Birthday, December 9, 1966.

Okay, this one is pretty weird also. I was dating a fellow who owned sports cars. He had a yellow XKE Jaguar. On my birthday, he picked me up in that car. He looked at me and asked, “Would you like to drive the car to the restaurant?” And so I was driving an XKE on my birthday. (I didn’t ask to own an XKE, to drive one.)
It is time to make your list to manifest abundance!
That was the first list I manifested. There have been many lists since then, and each has worked well. Some fell short, like the XKE, for lack of my clarity. Since then, I have told everyone I meet to make a list.
And now I am suggesting that you make your list. Use the words “I will have” or “I will be” rather than “I want.” You are declaring that your will can create your reality. And remember that your intuitive guidance knows the desires of your heart. I did not ask to be an editor of a magazine, although that is something I always wanted to do. And so the list brought me to the position of editor.
Are there special techniques to manifest abundance?
To master the manifesting principle, you need to have focus, clarity, and intention.
Focus is about visualizing what you would like to have in your life.
Clarity is putting in the details and seeing your desire.
The intention is to add a sense of willpower and attention in terms of feeling what it would be like to have what you need and want. You take the time to…
See it.
Feel it.
Sense the Source
Magic Fulfillment!
First, you see it clearly in your mind with all its details. Second, you feel the joy, the wonder of having it in your life. You see and feel a number in your bank account, a home where you would like to live, a place you would like to visit, the person you would like to share your life with, and the love you will feel.
As you prepare to manifest your desires, take the time to sense the source of the items on your list. Feel yourself move into the essence of its field of energy. Relax into the abundance in the form of wealth, excellent health, loving relationships, delightful self-expression, and peace of mind.
My next question was, “Why doesn’t the list work 100% of the time?

The next step in my life was to find a way to clear the path for everyone to create the desires of their hearts one hundred percent of the time. After studying the results of many people making their lists, I found that their requests didn’t always fully manifest. I wondered, why not?
I discovered that their requests didn’t fully manifest because parts of that person, their subpersonalities, held opposing beliefs. That part always thinks it is doing something positive by stopping the manifestation.
That is when I developed the Infusion Integration Technique and began writing my book, Ending the Battle Within: How to Create a Harmonious Life by Working with Your Sub-Personalities. I will be writing a post about that discovery soon.
