Beautiful Oil Paintings in the Tradition of Impressionism
Art is a word that can appear in many guises that please the eye and warm the heart. Verlaine had thought often about painting. It seemed to call to her. Finally, in 2017 when she was seventy-three, she stopped to look at a small easel for sale in Costco.
Verlaine purchased the easel with paints and brushes, took it home, read a couple of books on painting, and began painting in the corner of her dining room. She enjoyed mixing the colors and attempting to duplicate her vision. She was surprised that she actually could create a decent picture. Her partner, John, an artist, told her that she was good and that he would buy her some canvases, paint, and a large easel. Thus, her foray into painting began.
